** In the event that a TORNADO WARNING is issued by the National Weather Service for Columbiana County the Village will sound a warning siren.  The siren will be heard in ten minute intervals for three consecutive minutes at a time for the entire duration of the warning until it expires.  For more information on tornado preparedness visit www.fema.gov or www.weather.gov **

                                                 **   Tornado watch -- Conditions are conducive to the development of tornadoes in and close to the watch area.

                                                  **  Tornado warning -- A tornado has been sighted by spotters or indicated on radar and is occurring or imminent in the warning area.

East Palestine has fire stations in two locations:  75 East Main Street and 67 East Clark Street.  Brett Todd has been the City's full-time Chief since November of 2002.  The East Palestine Fire Department responded to 135 incidents in 2008.  Ambulance crews responded to 719 calls.  Ambulette service was discontinued in May and the Department found it necessary to start billing for all non-transport calls in June of 2008.  

      

Applications are always accepted from people who would like to become firefighters, emergency medical technicians or paramedics.  Training (at the Fire Department's expense) will be provided if necessary.  Applications can be obtained from the Fire Chief.  Call 330-426-4341 for additional information.
