SOCIAL CONCERN
East Palestine Social Concern, located in the Captain Taggart Building at 82 Garfield Avenue, provides emergency assistance to residents of the East Palestine School District. Assistance includes food, clothing, utility, rent and medical needs. Social Concern is open on Monday from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. MEALS ON WHEELS
Meals on Wheels is located at 82 Garfield Avenue and provides meal services to over 50 individuals per day. It is a volunteer organization. Two meals are delivered to individuals Monday through Friday and the cost is $17.50 per week. Meals include one hot lunch and one sack lunch. Meals on Wheels drivers deliver to residents of East Palestine, Unity and New Waterford. The organization will deliver to those who are disabled, homebound or those with emergency situations (recent surgery, etc.) Meals on Wheels is always in need of substitute drivers. Those who have an interest in serving the community are welcome to volunteer.
